Every season, fabric houses retire some of the old fabrics and offer a new crop. Sometimes they also do that with trims, though not as frequently.
We just got a couple of boxes that contained some new fabric and trim books and there are some great new options on offer!
These give us a hint at the colors and styles that are trending.
While neutrals are always a part of the offerings, corals, blues, and greens are still going strong for fabrics. Trims have an even wider variety of colors including some lavender and yellow colorways.
A LOT of embroideries were in evidence…I may single-handedly be contributing to their continued popularity - I’ve never met an embroidery I didn’t like! Embroideries are even working their way into trims with gorgeous results.

New offerings include sweet stylized flowers that are almost polka-dot like and whimsical embroidered crabs perfect for a nod to a seaside location.
Here are some of my favorites from the coral fabric collection:
These warm toned fabrics range from sophisticated embroidered florals, to sophisticated floral printed linen weaves, and even combinations of printed florals highlighted with embroidery.
The embroidered lollipop fabric would be delightful for windows or bedding in a children's space or nursery eliciting dreams of the sugarplum fairy, perhaps!
Here are some of the new green fabrics and trims:
The green embroideries range from a crewel embroidered tropical tree fabric to organic and stylized florals, smart stripes, and a versatile and sophisticated boxed check.
The flirty ruffle trim would be a charming finish to the edge of a curtain, shade, or pillow. Tape trims are perfect to customize the edge of an upholstery skirt, or add an elevated finish to the edge of a Roman shade.
Finally, here are some of the exciting new trims available.
I love the new wide embroidered tape trims - they would be fantastic on the leading edge of solid drapery panels.
And of course, I am delighted with the new scalloped trim options.
All of the trims shown come in more colors than I had room to include on the board, so there is truly something for every circumstance!
